We have these House Rules. Please read and understand completely before booking. We hope that you enjoy your time here at Cali Palms Coachella Valley. This is our family home, and we ask that you care for it as you would your own, and be respectful to our neighbors by keeping the noise level reasonable and appropriate. Any violation of the house rules will result in a $500 fine and possible removal from the property. Minimum Booking Age: The primary guest booking the reservation must be at least 25 years old and must be present for the duration of the stay. *PETS* Special Pet Policy House Rule As a general rule, most pets are NOT suitable to host on the property (we have no special pet accommodations, toys, bowls, etc.). However, small dogs will be considered by prior request only and must be explicitly approved in writing before your stay. Requests must include details about the dog, such as breed, size, and age. There is $100 pet fee for each approved pet. At NO time may approved pets be left in the home or on the property unattended. Failure to disclose a pet on the property will result in an immediate fine of $500 and may result in the termination of your stay without a refund. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the quality and comfort of our property for all guests. *NO PARTIES ALLOWED* - This has always been a policy at our property, but effective August 2020, Airbnb has instituted a global ban on parties and events in the best interest of public health. Airbnb emphasizes that this ban is stringent and they may pursue legal action against Guests if this policy is violated. Only the listed guests on the booking are allowed on the premises. Any overnight guests in excess of the number approved in the original reservation will be assessed $100 per guest per night. *Absolutely NO SMOKING/VAPING of any kind in the property. Violation of this rule will result in a $500 fine assessed via the booking platform. *NO illicit activity* ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE: Check-in time is 4:00pm and the check-out time is 11:00am. No refunds are issued for late check-in or early departure. Early check-in fee is $50 if available and approved. • Check-out is promptly by 11 am unless previously approved. We do get back-to-back bookings, so any check-outs later than stated will attain a late fee, to be taken out of your security deposit. Prior to check out, we kindly request that you follow the departure checklist that we detail at the end of these House Rules, and also have in our Home Manual. We sometimes have a tight window to clean and ensure the home is prepared for the next guest. Not checking out on time affects the next guest so please be mindful of this. GUEST OCCUPANCY: The maximum number of guests is limited to 10 persons (including adults and children). People other than those in the Guest party may not stay overnight in the property. Any overnight guests in excess of the number of those approved in the original reservation will be assessed $100 per guest per night. HOUSEKEEPING: There is no daily housekeeping service. The cleaning fee is for a standard end-of-stay cleaning only. We are happy to arrange a mid-stay cleaning for an additional fee. PARKING: Parking is free. There are 4 available spots in front of the garage and plenty of street parking. If use of the garage is requested, a code to open the garage can be provided to guests. SCHEDULED POOL CLEANING/GARDENING: Our pool cleaner comes on Tuesdays and Thursdays/Fridays, and our gardener comes on Thursdays/Fridays. They will access the backyard through the code locks on each gate so there should be minimal disruption for any guest stay. We appreciate guests’ understanding and patience while these services occur to ensure our pool and outside property are well-maintained for all guests to enjoy. SMOKING & VAPING: Smoking and vaping are NOT allowed inside or anywhere on the Cali Palms property premises. This is particularly a concern due to high-risk fire hazards. Failure to abide by this rule may result in $500 fine and dismissal from the property. TRASH CANS: When taking out trash, make sure it is securely bagged and placed ONLY in our the brown trash bin located on the side of the house just behind the garage door (in front of the side fence). Garbage is picked up on Wednesdays, but our crew will take the trash cans out to the curb. QUIET TIMES: Please be very respectful of our neighbors. Guests should not create excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors between 9:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. There are strict noise ordinances that are enforced. Complaints from neighbors about excessive noise and disruptive behavior will result in fines assessed to the renter. FIREPLACE: For decoration only. Please do not use. SWIMMING POOL: Pool heating to 82 degrees is available for $90/day. Please let us know if you would like to have the pool heated ahead of your stay so we can have it ready for your arrival. Children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers covered with plastic/vinyl waterproof pants in the pool. WARNING: No Lifeguard on Duty. There is NO diving allowed into the pool - which is approximately 5 feet at its deepest point. All individuals swim at their own risk. Adult supervision is required for children at ALL times. HOT TUB: There is no fee for hot tub heat. You can use the simple hot tub controller screen in the kitchen to turn on the heat and the jets for the hot tub. The guest can choose either 100 spa day or 100 spa night as the temperature - it takes approximately 30 minutes to heat the hot tub and it will remain on for about 2 hours. No one under the age of 5 is permitted to use the Hot Tub. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult to use the hot tub. WARNING: No Lifeguard on Duty for the hot tub. Use at your own risk. USE OF HOME CONVENIENCES: We have left items in our home for your use such as a sled, booster seat, pack n’ play, etc. Use of these items is optional and used at your discretion. Owners are NOT liable for any injury resulting in the use or misuse of these items. All items in the townhome been selected for your enjoyment. Normal wear and tear is expected, however, replacement due to abuse or misuse, resulting in damage, will be charged to your account. LIABILITY: The Homeowners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur while on the premises or its facilities. Guest and all members of the Rental Party release Homeowner and their Employees from any claim for damage, accident or injury that any members of the Rental Party may sustain from use or occupancy of the property during the term of this lease agreement and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Homeowner and their Employees from any claim, action or proceeding by Guest and all members of the Rental Party. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises, and that all guests agree to abide by the House Rules. LOST/DAMAGED ITEMS: Please immediately report any lost/broken items so that we may have a chance to remedy the situation for our next guests. Failure to do so may result in a damage fee. FINES: Guest will be responsible for any excess cost of repair, replacement, or additional cleaning fees required as a result of damage or excessive soiling of the property caused by the Rental Party or other invitees during the lease term. Guest agrees to abide by the House/Rental Rules at all times while at the property and shall have all members of the rental party and anyone else Guest permits on the property to abide by the rules at all times while at the property.
